New era of good governance to begin: Champika Ranawaka

The United National Front for Good Governance (UNFGG) Secretary and Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka yesterday asserted that the new era of good governance was going to begin with the UNFGG.

After handing over his nomination to the District Secretariat Office, Narahenpita, Ranawaka stated that he would contest together with the UNFGG to strength the mandate which President Maithripala Sirisena obtained on 8 January.

“We are contesting with UNFGG to continue the concept of good governance. However, we expect to work independently in Parliament. The UNFGG will be able to create the new era of ‘Yahapalanaya’. We will take some crucial decisions which can change the country’s future,” Ranawaka said.
