Parliamentarian A.H.M. Azwer has been appointed as a Monitoring MP of the Ministry of Mass Media and Information by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Azwer assumed duties this week at the Ministry of Mass Media and Information in the presence of the Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella.
Minister Rambukwella said that he was very happy about appointing Azwer, who had been a senior journalist for several years and a veteran politician, as a monitoring MP of his Ministry and this appointment would immensely help to carry forward the envisaged programs of the Ministry to enlighten the people on the development goals of the Government.
