The New Year will mark a good beginning for a new Sri Lanka if a good transformation takes place in the people’s thoughts corresponding to the New Year, said Mass Media and Information Minister Keheliya Rambukwella in a New Year message.     Following is the text of the message: The New Year becomes meaningful when human beings are armed with new ideas and acts according to a new vision by discarding obsolete attitudes. Hopes and aspirations give energy to life and becomes a factor which builds a new future. In comparison to the recent past Sri Lanka had achieved targets considered difficult to achieve. The challenge of bringing prosperity to the nation is achieving success every passing year. On 1 January it is a good day to activate yourself to achieve future hopes you had in mind as a free environment has been built to make it possible. People should act with a new vision and concept to achieve success in life by conforming to the development transformation taking place in the country. New knowledge should be acquired to transact with the developing world. The New Year gives a fine occasion to resolve to adhere to customs and traditions suitable to the country. The New Year will mark a good beginning for a new Sri Lanka if a good transformation takes place in the people’s thoughts corresponding to the New Year.
