Pakistan Prime Minister to visit Sri Lanka next year

Untitled-4Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next year, a visiting Pakistani minister has mentioned.

Visiting Pakistani Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan, during a discussion with Minister of Industries and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen, has said that Prime Minister Sharif will arrive in Sri Lanka next year, commencing his first official tour in the New Year.

Pakistani Commerce Minister Khan, addressing the bilateral trade meeting between Sri Lanka and Pakistan held in Colombo on 11 November, has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Shariff is scheduled to begin the new year with his first visit to Colombo.

During the visit the Pakistani Prime Minister is expected to formalise and sign a revised Pakistan-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (PSFTA), which is expected to deepen the economic and trade relationship between the two countries.
