Pakistan offers comprehensive training facilities to the Sri Lankan Army, Navy and Air Force which directly functions under Joint Staff Headquarters and these have increased in the last three years. The Joint Staff Headquarters was also instrumental in the commencement of staff talks between the two armed forces. Recently, the procurement of 100 Pakistani manufactured cars by the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka was another manifestation of the close defence ties between the two countries.
