Palestinian President due on 15 April

President of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Abbas is to arrive in Sri Lanka on a two-day state visit on April 15, the Ministry of External Affairs said.

Bilateral discussions will be held during the visit to further strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries, in various fields.

This will be the Palestinian leader’s second visit to the island, the first being a two-day official visit which took place on October 9, 2008.
