People’s Bank has stepped forward as main sponsor for the historic Kandy Esala Perahera.
The sponsorship cheque was handed over to Diyawadane Nilame of Sri Dalada Maligawa Pradeep Nilanga Dela by People’s Bank Assistant General Manager (Marketing and Research) T. G. S. P. Kumarasiri. Kandy Regional Manager Emil Mendis, Kandy Branch Manager Nalin Poththawela and Business Promotion Manager Padmasena Athukorala were present at the occasion.
The Diyawadane Nilame expressed his gratitude to People’s Bank for continuously offering its sponsorship for the iconic cultural pageant that combines perennial customs and traditional dances.
The final Randoli Perahera will be telecast live on Rupavahini on 7 August at 8.15 p.m. with the support and devotion of People’s Bank.
