The Police Media Unit said that the special operation to nab motorists under the influence of liquor during the festive season was successful.
The Police have arrested 660 drunk drivers from 24-29 December and among the arrested were 335 motorcyclists, 227 three-wheeler drivers, 43 motorcar drivers, 20 lorry drivers, 20 van drivers and five private bus drivers. The special operation to apprehend drunk drivers, which commenced on 24 December, will continue till 5 January 2015.
