Police say protesters causing public disruption will be arrested

The police yesterday said that protesters causing public disruption would be arrested and produced in court. Police Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana made this statement yesterday at a press conference held in Colombo. “Police will take measures to control protests and demonstrations across the country that will block roads and disrupt the day-to-day activities of the public. In the Mahiyangana protest, the Police were forced to use minimum force to deal with protesters because they kept on blocking the Mahiyangana Road while arguing with police officers,” he said.
