Poson festivities in Sri Lanka Embassy in Vienna

On 10 June the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Vienna, Austria hosted a religious event to commemorate the Vesak and Poson Festival within the Embassy premises.

This event was also graced by the presence of Wasantha Senanayake, MP State Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Ambassador Priyanee Wijesekera welcomed the Sri Lankan community at the Embassy and religious observances were conducted by Chief Incumbent of Dhammazentrum in Vienna Ven. Dr. Wijayarajapura Seelawansa Thero. Devotional songs were sung by the children of Sri Lanka community, the staff of the Embassy as well as the adult members of the Sri Lanka community.

On 3 June the Ambassador and her staff also offered Heel Dana at the Dhammazentrum where the Chief Incumbent Ven. Dr. Wijayarajapura Seelawansa Thera bestowed his blessings and good wishes to State Minister of Foreign Affairs Wasantha Senanayake and the staff of the Embassy.
