President appoints Chief Ministers to Western, North Western Provinces

Western and North Western Provincial Council Chief Appointment

Two Chief Ministers for the Western and North Western Provinces were appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday at the President’s official residence.

Accordingly, Isuru Dewapriya was appointed the Chief Minister of the Western Province while Dharmasiri Dassanayake was appointed as the Chief Minister of the North Western Province. The appointments were handed over by the governors of the two provinces.
