President appoints new organisers for SLFP

As the Chairman of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday appointed 26 new district organisers for the Party. 

Those organisers took their appointment letters in front of SLFP General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake and Secretary to the President P.B Abeykoon at the President’s official residence.

Western Province Chief Minister Isuru Devapriya has been appointed as the Maharagama SLFP organiser and Lawyer Keerthi Udawatta has been appointed to the Dehiwala seat. The Colombo-western organiser position has gone to Provincial Councillor Hector Bethmage and Mulleriyawa  Pradeshiya  Sabha Chairman Prasanna  Solangaarachchi has been appointed as the Kolonnawa organiser. Sumith Wijayamuni de Zoysa has been appointed for the Avissawella seat.

Meanwhile, Ruwan Ranatunge has been appointed as the Minuwangoda organiser while Sanjaya Siriwardane has been appointed as the co-organiser of Mirigama. Panadura SLFP organising has been given to Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe and Agalawatta has been handed over to Provincial Council Minister Ranjith Somawansa.  Provincial Council Minister Sumith Lal Mendis has become the organiser of Kalutara while Southern Education Minister Chandima Rasaputra has been appointed to Matara.

 Minister S.B Dissanayake was appointed as the Hewaheta SLFP organiser while Provincial Councilor Thilina Thennakoon, Provincial Councillor Manel Bandara, Mahinda Abeykoon and Mohamad Samsan have been appointed to Senkadagala, Udunuwara, Kandy and Akurana respectively. 

President Sirisena appointed Sujeewa  Chandarsiri as the Colombo district organiser while Anju Shyam Perera has been appointed as Gampaha district organiser. Asanka Ediriweera has been appointed to the Kalutara district. Provincial Councilor Channa Saliya and Thisira Gunasinghe have been appointed to the Galle district while Pasanda Yapa Abeywardana and Nalin Ranaweera have been appointed to the Matara district.
