President appoints SLFP committee for new Constitution

President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed a special committee comprised of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MPs to gather opinions of party members regarding the formulation of the proposed Constitution. 

The SLFP Vice President and Transport Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva, Special Projects Minister Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Skills Development and Vocational Training Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe, State Minister of Highways Dilan Perera,   Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister Faizer Mustapha, Social Empowerment and Welfare Minister S.B. Dissanayake, State Minister of Rehabilitation and Reconciliation A.L.M. Hizbullah, MPs Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Keheliya Rambukwella, A.H.M. Fauzi and Bandula Gunawardena have been nominated for the committee.
