President appoints Solangaarachchi as Avissawella District Organiser

President Maithripala Sirisena, as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), has appointed Prasanna Solangaarachchi as the new District Organiser for the Avissawella District.

Solangaarachchi received his appointment letter from the President at the President’s Office yesterday.

President Sirisena appointed Solangaarachchi to the Central Committee of the SLFP in April after he expelled five senior members of the committee loyal to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Solangaarachchi was the Chairman of the Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha of the Kolonnawa electorate.
