President condemns Turkey terrorist attack

President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday expressed his condolence over the terrorist attack on Monday night at the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, killing 41 innocent civilians and injuring many others.

In his condolence message sent to President of Turkey, Tayyip Erdogan he vehemently condemned the terrorist attack.

“I wish to reiterate my earnest belief that there should be collective international action against such criminal acts of terrorists,” the President said.

On behalf of the government and the people of Sri Lanka the President conveyed deepest condolences to the President, the Government and the people of Turkey. He also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in this heinous attack.
