President condoles families of Orlando victims

President Maithripala Sirisena has expressed his “heartfelt condolences” to the loved ones of the victims in Sunday’s mass shooting at a night club in Orlando, Florida which killed 50 people and injured 53 more.

Taking to his official twitter account, President Sirisena said “My heartfelt condolences to loved ones of the victims of the #Orlando shooting. We must make the world a safer place for all communities.”

Political and religious leaders of the world including the Britain’s Royal Family, Pope Francis, and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon denounced the worst shooting in U.S. history.
