President met with Govt. Agents for the first time

President Maithripala Sirisena met with all the Government Agents in the Island on Monday at the Presidential office. This was the first time the President met with them since he took oaths as President.

The President focused on the administrative issues and development programs at district level.

He was briefed regarding the issues faced by the district secretaries when serving the needs of the people. He also stated that the common people admires the distinguished service of the District Secretaries.

Home Minister Joseph Michael Perera stated here that, it was his first experience ever where a discussion between the President and all the District Secretaries from around the country has taken place.
