President Rajapaksa meets Prime Ministers of Qatar and Kuwait

President Mahinda Rajapaksa met with the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in two separate meetings on Tuesday evening following the addressing of the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City.
The President and the two leaders of the Middle Easter countries discussed bilateral relations between their respective countries and ways of further enhancing cooperation in a number of sectors.
The Minister of External Affairs Prof. G.L. Peiris, Monitoring MP of the Ministry of External Affairs Mr. Sajin De Vass Gunawardena, Secretary to the President Mr. Lalith Weeratunga, Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations Dr. Palitha Kohona and Additional Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs Mrs. Kshenuka Seneviratne also accompanied the President at the meetings.
