President Sirisena conveys condolences on death of Saudi King Abdullah

President Maithripala Sirisena has expressed his deepest condolences and offered sympathy to the people of Saudi Arabia over the death of King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. Abdullah Bin Abdilazīz was the King of Saudi Arabia from 2005 to 2015. He ascended to the throne on 1 August 2005, he passed away yesterday at the age of 90. Sri Lanka has had diplomatic relations with Saudi Arabia since 1974 and the two countries have continued to enjoy a close friendship.
