Public and Bank Holiday on 26 October cancelled

The Ministry of Public Administration announced yesterday that the Public holiday on 26 October has been changed to 27 October as Muslims in Sri Lanka will be celebrating Haj festival on 27 October.

Hence the earlier decision making 26 October a Public and Bank Holiday has been cancelled.

The Colombo Grand Mosque announced this week that Muslims in Sri Lanka will celebrate the Haj festival on 27 October as the moon had not been sighted.
