Public offices and schools closed today

All public offices and schools in the Colombo Municipal area will be closed on Friday, 27 May, in view of the Victory Parade celebrations being held to mark the second anniversary of the defeat of terrorism.

The Government of Sri Lanka officially declared the defeat of terrorism on 19 May, 2009 with the killing of the LTTE Leader Prabaharan in the north.
