Public seminar on law on 11 June

On the occasion of the launch of the ANC School of Postgraduate Education, Professor Malcolm Davies, Head of the School Law, University of West London will be visiting Colombo.

Professor Davies is an internationally recognized expert on sentencing policy and criminology.

ANC is arranging a public seminar on the 11th of June from 4.30p.m. to 6p.m at Cinnamon Grand where Professor Malcolm Davies will make a special presentation on the topic of ‘Sentencing the offenders arrested during the urban riots in England in August 2011’. This will be followed by a Panel Discussion moderated by Dr Dayanth Jayasuirya P.C. with  Shibly Aziz P.C., former Attorney-General and Immediate Past President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka and other leading practitioners.

Professor Davies will also provide a briefing on new LL. M. programs which will be conducted in Sri Lanka by the University of West London and the ANC School of Postgraduate School from September 2012.
