Highways and Investment Promotion Minister Kabir Hashim met with the Ambassador of Qatar to Sri Lanka, Rashid Shafie Saeed Al-Fahida Almerri, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Minister and the Ambassador had a cordial discussion and the Minister expressed his desire to further strengthen relations with Qatar.
The Minister also expressed his appreciation over the visit made by the Emir of Qatar to Sri Lanka last month.
The Minister is scheduled to attend the 15th Doha Forum which will be held next month in Qatar.
