Rajarata Province to get its biggest ‘Career and Entrepreneurship Fair’

The Young Members’ Forum of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is planning to hold a ‘Career and Entrepreneurship Fair’ at the Rajarata University during the next month to help empower the youth in the North Central, North, Eastern and the North Central Provinces of the country.

Accordingly, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, recently signed an MOU with the Rajarata University, to jointly organise this event. Mangala P. B. Yapa, CEO/Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chancellor of the Rajarata University Professor Ranjith Wijayawardena signed the MOU on be-half of the respective parties. Mrs. Alikie Perera, Deputy Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber, Gillian Nugara, the President of the YMF and several YMF members were present on the occasion.

The ‘Career and Entrepreneurship fair’ will see top corporate firms taking part as potential job providers, while several education solution and service providers also will take part in as the exhibitors. Several leading banks will also be among the exhibitors, who will display the financial assistance programs designed by each of those banks to help the younger generation of the country.

The ‘Career and Entrepreneurship Fair’ will also see several activities, such as seminar, workshops and presentations being conducted across the two days with the participation of experts of different fields, who will impart knowledge to help empower the youngsters looking for career opportunities and also opportunities to grow up as entrepreneurs.

The graduates and undergraduates students from the Rajarata, Wayamba, Eastern and Jaffna Universities will take part in this event, while students from technical colleges and more than 36 schools in the region will attend the two day event.
