Ravi K welcomes former Turkish PM

Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake yesterday welcomed the former Prime Minister of Turkey, Prof. Ahmet Davutoglu who arrived in Sri Lanka to deliver the 20th Annual Bakeer Markar Commemoration Lecture today on the theme ‘Multiculturalism as a Basis for Peace.’  During the meeting the duo discussed friendly ties between Sri Lanka and Turkey. Prof. Davutoglu is scheduled to call on President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe during his stay.
