Red notices issued to 4,242 people in fight against dengue

Red notices have been issued to 4,242 people in December in the fight against dengue, the Ministry of Health said today.

The Health Ministry said that legal action had also been filed against 939 people this month for having dengue breeding grounds on their property.

The Health Ministry said that steps had been taken to identify and eliminate dengue mosquito breeding grounds in the Western Province as well as in the Galle and Kalutara districts.

A statement by the Health Ministry said that dengue mosquito breeding grounds in several schools had also been identified.(Colombo Gazette)
