Co-chairman of the Inter religious alliance for National Unity and Chief Imam of Dewatagaha Jumma Mosque Seyed Hasan Moulana participated in an event to mark the President’s birthday and his taking over office for the 2nd term as president.

  First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa and some ministers also attended the event. The Chief Imam also participated in another event to welcome Prime Minister D.M Jayaratne at “Visumpaya” on his appointment as PM for the 2nd time on 22 November. The President as well as the Prime Minister were greeted with “Attar” according to Islamic Tradition by the Chief Imam.
