Responsibility of LLRC recommendations lies with Govt., says Dullas

The responsibility of acting on the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) lies with the Government, Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said yesterday.

He also pointed out that the commission was not established bowing to any pressure.

Therefore, the Government will proceed to implement the recommendations of the LLRC report as well, he said addressing the media on Sunday. The Minister of Youth Affairs stated that the Government had been able to accomplish a visible effect within the short period of time since the report was released.
