Mohammed Husni at the Rotaract District Assembly unveiled the theme ‘Vision to Action’ in July 2016.

The theme highlights upon the intent of the Rotaract movement to align itself with the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and lead communities towards sustainability. The traditional single day event has been phased out into a broader value-sharing platform through the two-day model.

Three key thematic areas of focus identified by the organisers are ‘Youth,’ ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Innovation’. The conference serves as a catalyst for sustainable youth engaging initiatives and upholds the true principles of inclusive development. As a leading youth-led movement, Rotaract has been focused in empowering the young leaders to drive sustainable action through impactful innovative mechanism. The forum will transcend the general norms channelling to embrace innovative, disruptive and sustainable practices of both corporate and youth groups.

The joint organising committee of the ‘Vision to Action’ Rotaract Conference comprises of the Rotaract District Committee and the representative of the hosting Rotaract Clubs of National School of Business Management (NSBM), Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), Excellence College of Management and General Sir John Kotalawela Defence University.
