Royal, Gampaha Ratnawali, Maliyadewa boys and girls top A/L Exam

Dasun Oshada Jayasinghe from Royal College Colombo was ranked first in the country’s mathematics stream at the recent GCE Advanced Level examination, where 32, 393 students sat for the exam in the stream.

Jeewa Nayanamali of the Kurunegala Maliyadeva Girls’ College was ranked island first in the Arts stream from which 99, 034 students sat for the exam.

Thepuli Umesha ranked first in the Bioscience stream from which 46, 581 students sat for the examination.  

F.M. Akeel Mohammed of Maliyadeva Boys’ College was ranked first in the island from the Commerce stream. 

The number of students who sat for the exam from the commerce stream was 60, 178. Shanaka Anuradha Samarakoon of St. Thomas College Matale secured first place in the Engineering technology stream while Navodini Marasinghe of Bandarawela Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya secured an island first place in the Biotechnology stream. 

Meanwhile, Buddhika Chathuranga Karunaratne of Seevali Central College Ratnapura emerged first place in the island in the Common and Other Subjects stream.
