Senior DIG M.R. Latheef appointed to command Police Special Task Force

Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police M.R. Latheef has been appointed as the Commandant of the Police Special Task Force.

Following the recommendations of the National Police Commission, Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara Thursday ratified the Senior DIG M.R. Latheef’s appointment with immediate effect. Latheef would assume duties from today.

Senior DIG Latheef joined the Police force in 1979 and was a member of the first batch of the STF in 1984 after which he specialized in counter terrorism.
