Six new envoys to Sri Lanka present credentials to President

Four new Ambassadors and two High Commissioners to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena on Monday at a ceremony held at the President’s House in Colombo.

The new diplomats assuming duties were: Ambassador of Ukraine Igor Polikha, High Commissioner of the Republic of South Africa Robina P. Marks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan Sonam Tobden Rabgye, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Asfaw Dingamo Kame, Ambassador of Republic of Tajikistan Jononov Sherali and High Commissioner of the Republic of Seychelles David Claude Pierre.

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva and Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon were also present at the event.
