Sri Lanka Muslim Congress Working Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday (29 November) at the New Town Hall at Colombo 7, coinciding with the inaugural session of the party’s silver Jubilee celebrations.
The Working Committee meeting will be presided by the Party’s Chairman, Deputy Minister Basheer Segu Dawood, while SLMC Leader and Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem will address the gathering.All working Committee members, SLMC members of Local Government Bodies, Members of Provincial Councils and members of parliament will participate at the occasion.
Silver Jubilee celebrations will be held in a grand scale shortly.Sri Lanka Muslim Congress has been recognised as a political party since 29 November 1986, 25 years ago by the Election Commissioner under the leadership of late Minister M. H. M. Ashraff.
