Speaker tells BASL ‘not possible’

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa yesterday told a delegation from Bar Association that the impeachment on the Chief Justice cannot be reconsidered as it was already on the Order Paper and follow up decisions made including the appointment of a Parliamentary Select Committee.

The BASL recently passed a resolution calling on the President and the Speaker to reconsider the impeachment motion.
