Speaker visits Sri Lanka High Commission in London

The Speaker of the Parliament Chamal Rajapaksa was in the UK to attend a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA). He is the immediate Past President of the CPA.
The Speaker was welcomed to the Sri Lanka High Commission by High Commissioner Dr. Chris Nonis during his stay in London. Rajapaksa commended the work carried out by the staff of the Mission for the Sri Lankan community, as well as the several Commonwealth-related events held at the High Commission in recognition of President Mahinda Rajapaksa assuming the Chair-in-Office of the Commonwealth.
