Sri Lanka Life Subapathum award ceremony tomorrow at BMICH

Sri Lanka Insurance scholarship scheme awards ceremony will be held at BMICH on 12 August 2014. The event is scheduled to award 300 scholarship achievers representing 25 districts. Sri Lanka Insurance, a name synonymous with the many number of social projects concerning the nurturing and development of children, whether in sports or academics, has embarked yet again on a magnanimous task of launching a national scholarship program titled ‘Sri Lanka Insurance Life Suba Pathum’ which provides financial assistance to students who have excelled at the Grade 5 Scholarship exams, G.C.E (O/L), and G.C.E (A/L) examinations. Three hundred top ranking students in total will receive Sri Lanka Insurance Life Suba Pathum Scholarships. Top 4 students from each district who excel in the grade five scholarship scheme will receive a Rs. 20,000 lump sum while the top four district level ranking students of the G.C.E (O/L) will receive a lump sum of Rs. 40,000 each and top 100 students who excel at national level at the G.C.E (A/L) examination comprising of 25 top ranking students each from the streams Bio, Mathematics, Commerce and Arts will receive a lump sum of Rs. 50,000 each. If the student’s parents or the guardian is a Sri Lanka Insurance Life Policy Holder the benefit will be offered for a continuous period as an annual payment until the child faces the next national level examination. Sri Lanka Insurance has been in the forefront of spearheading projects that develop the children of Sri Lanka from its inception and is constantly striving to uplift and enhance the environment within which it operates and has taken a conscious effort to include sustainability reporting in to its balance sheet. The company believes in nurturing the younger generation of this country with the aim to develop a generation of academically and physically sound Sri Lankans.
