The Sri Lanka-Pakistan Friendship Association held 47th Annual General Meeting 2012-13 on 13 July 2013, at the Sri Lanka Malay Headquarters (PADANG), Kew Road, Colombo under the distinguished presence of Maj Gen (R) Qasim Qureshi, High Commissioner for Pakistan in Sri Lanka.
During the AGM the following office bearers were elected:
President: Ifthickar Aziz
Vice Presidents: B.M.N. Jurangpathy, Dr. Yasmin Fazli
General Secretary: Fazal Z. Lafir
Assistant Secretary: Hisham Abdul Azeez
Treasurer: Mohideen Ariff
Assistant Treasurer: Rizwie
Chairman Publicity: Daud Ethisham
Chairman Health and Social Welfare: A.C.M. Fazli
Chairman Sports and Recreation: Ayesha Maharoof
Chairman Education: Fouzia Jurangpathy
Committee Members: Nawaziya Farook, Marliya Siddeek, Noor Haniffa, Dr. M.G.M.S. Zurfick, Hilme Junaid, Dr/ Sajjad Hussain, Fathima Razick Carder, Mirza Ameer.
The Sri Lanka Pakistan Friendship Association is one of the oldest friendship associations of Sri Lanka, which was established 63 years back in 1950. The association has been able to establish itself as a useful platform, dedicated to the promotion of bilateral relationship and friendship between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
