Sri Lanka Scouts to provide relief to Philippines

The Sri Lanka Scout Association together with the Colombo District Branch in collaboration with the Consular General for the Republic of Philippines in Sri Lanka will collect new clothes, biscuits, tea leaves, milk powder to be dispatched to Philippines to be distributed among the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan which has taken over 10,000 lives and millions homeless and are awaiting relief. These items will be collected during office hours at the Sri Lanka Scout Association, Colombo Headquarters, No. 65/9, Sir Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mawatha, Colombo 2 behind the Inland Revenue Department from 13 to 15 November. The items collected will be distributed through the Boy Scouts of Philippines, headquarters in Manila a communiqué issued by the International Commissioner Sri Lanka Scouts stated.
