Considering the growing need for the security technologies, products, solutions and services, the security domain stakeholders in Sri Lanka can benefit from the sixth edition of IFSEC India and Homeland Security India – the largest security exposition in India and South Asia.

It is scheduled to be held from November 01-03, 2012 at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida (National Capital Region). It will showcase the latest when it comes to Homeland Security, Commercial Security, and Fire Safety.

According to IFSEC India and Homeland Security India Project Director Pankaj Jain, “It offers a perfect platform for security professionals for JVs, partnerships and associations, sourcing, dealership and network tapping. For vendors, it is an effective launch pad and base to test market new products and generate numerous qualitative queries.”

“The recent spate of terror attacks across all South Asian cities, including those in Sri Lanka, underlines the need for Homeland Security and Commercial Security. It is imperative that we safeguard our banks; offices; schools and colleges; hotels; hospitals; IT and BPO organisations; entertainment and sports events; aviation, railways and highways. Critical industries such as telecom; warehousing and distribution; real estate and construction; police, prisons and law enforcement agencies; customs and excise; PSUs; Defence; infrastructure and utilities; manufacturing and industrial facilities; disasters and emergencies; jewellery/retail showrooms and of course, residences are also in the need of top-notch security. IFSEC India and Homeland Security India 2012 shall address security requirements of all these verticals,” adds Pankaj.

Like the previous edition, this year too, the exposition is expected to have more than 250 exhibitors from 20+ countries; country pavilions from USA, UK, Canada, Poland, China and Taiwan; visitor traffic of over 12000 government and security professionals and a massive 18000 sq. meters of exhibition floor area. Last year, it was inaugurated by Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram and D.R. Kaarthikeyan, Padma Shri, Chairman, ASSOCHAM’s National Council on Installations, Premises and Personal Security (IPPS). The highlight of the inaugural day is the main conference titled – Changing the landscape of India’s Homeland Security – which is expected to have several international speakers and delegates.
