Tamil woman recruits become Nursing Assistants

A group of Tamil woman soldiers has successfully completed the Nursing Assistant course, conducted by Kilinochchi Army Base Hospital. Accordingly, ten ladies were awarded certificates of the course completion at ceremony, held at the hospital premises recently. The five-month long course for those 10 Tamil woman soldiers focused on training in first aid, medical fundamentals, surgery, clinical approaches, dispensary, dental care, laboratory management, etc. Woman Recruit R. Insar (1st place), Woman Recruit P. Sibora (2nd place) and Woman Recruit P. Priscilla (3rd place) shone prominent in the course and one of them in acknowledgement, praised the Army for imparting this knowledge to them. Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi, Commanding Officer at Kilinochchi Army Base Hospital Captain K.K.T. Ariyatillake, Captain R.S Manawickrema, Officer-in-Charge of the course and several others were associated with the award of certificates.
