Thewarapperuma bailed out

Thirteen people including Deputy Minister Palitha Thewarapperuma along with nine mothers were released on a surety bail of Rs. 1 million each by Matugama Magistrate Wasantha Kosala Senadeera yesterday. The group was arrested on charges of unlawful assembly and illegal entry to the Meegahathenna Primary school last Tuesday where Thewarapperuma allegedly attempted to hang himself from a school fan - Pic by Pradeep Pathirana
