Three contracts to purchase refined petroleum products

Cabinet yesterday approved a proposal made by Petroleum Resources Development Minister Chandima Weerakkody to award three long term contracts for the period of eight months.

The tenders from December 2016 to July 2017 have been recommended the Special Standing Cabinet appointed procurement committee, following a call for tenders by Sri Lanka Petroleum Corporation.

Quotations were called from registered suppliers for the long-term contracts to purchase all petroleum products under long-term tenders, following expiry of existing contracts for purchase refined petroleum products.
