CEB has appointed a committee to decide the methodology of power cuts to be imposed due to the breakdown of two thermal power plants in Sri Lanka.
The committee has announced the schedule of power cuts by this evening.
The Ministry of Power and Energy says it aims to minimize the inconvenience to the public due to power cuts.
CEB chairman Dr. Wimaladharma Abeywickrema has said that they are taking immediate measures to work on the technical problems at the Kerawalapitiya and Norochcholai thermal power plants and expect to finalize work at the Kerawalapitiya power plant by July 28.
