TNA picks National List MPs

The Tamil National Alliance has submitted its National List nominees to Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya.

K. Thurairatnasingham from Trincomalee and Shanthi Sriskandarajah have been appointed MPs on the National List by the TNA, or ITAK, which is the party under which the broad alliance contested last week’s elections. The TNA was allocated two seats on the National List, bringing their total number of seats in the new Parliament to 16.
