Top level Iran delegation in town this week

A top level five member Iranian delegation is to visit Sri Lanka on 26 April, under the eminent leadership of the Secretary General of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and member of the Assembly of Experts – Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Thaskiri.



The other members of this delegation are also scholars and academics in various fields. The delegation will stay in Sri Lanka for three days and are scheduled to attend several events in Colombo. The Cultural Section of the Embassy of Iran has organised a discussion for the Sri Lankan religious scholars with the visiting delegation under the topic ‘The importance of unity among the Muslims.’

This discussion will take place at the Cultural Section auditorium on 27, April at No. 6 Sir Earnest de Silva Mawathe, Colombo 7, at 4.30p.m. followed by dinner. The cultural Section has send invitations to prominent moulavis and religious dignitaries to this event.
