UN Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs Oscar Fernandez-Taranc will arrive in Colombo tomorrow for discussions with Sri Lankan officials, the Daily FT learns.
The high-ranking UN official’s visit was previously scheduled, Government sources said, but his meetings will now coincide with the ongoing sectarian unrest in Aluthgama and Beruwala. (DB)
