Two new members appointed to RTI Commission

2016-12-13-ft-img-03 President Maithripala Sirisena has appointed two new members to the Right to Information (RTI) Commission of Sri Lanka upon the recommendation of the Constitutional Council.

Former Chairman of the Appeal Court, Judge A. W. A. Salam and Dr. Selvi Thiruchandran have been appointed as the new members to the five-member RTI Commission.

They received their letters of appointment from President Sirisena yesterday.

President Sirisena on 30th September upon the recommendation of the Constitutional Council appointed the other three members to the Commission.

The members of the RTI Commission are distinguished personalities in public life with proven knowledge, experience and eminence in law, governance, public administration, management etc.
