Uproar suspends Parliament

The Parliament was suspended for half an hour yesterday after an uproar between the government and the opposition law makers during the debate on Senior Ministers.

The situation erupted after the government Parliamentarians stated that the opposition was questioning the conduct of the President during the debate on Senior Ministers.

The Deputy Speaker suspended parliament for half an hour due to this uproar.

Opposition leader had earlier said that he wants a debate on the appointment of senior ministers to the Cabinet. There are 10 senior ministers in the Cabinet of ministers and most of them began their duties in their offices this week.
