US envoy in Sri Lanka stands against any forms of discrimination

The United States Embassy in Colombo this week said US Ambassador Atul Keshap stands against any forms of discrimination in Sri Lanka.

Extending support to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities in Sri Lanka, the Ambassador AtulKeshap met with LGBT activist Rosanna Flamer-Caldera, Executive Director of Equal Ground in Colombo and said he is proud to stand with the NGO against any forms of discrimination in Sri Lanka.

Equal Ground, a non-profit organisation seeking human and political rights for the LGBT community of Sri Lanka has successfully organised LGBTIQ Colombo PRIDE events for over a decade.
