‘Wasa Visa Nethi Ratak’ program will launch on 6 March

A special discussion on the program ‘Wasa Visa Nethi Ratak’ (A country free of poisonous substances), which is to be implemented in accordance with the election manifesto of President Maithripala Sirisena to ensure chemical-free farming within the next three years, was held under the patronage of Secretary to the President, P.B. Abeykoon at the Presidential Secretariat, this week.

The program ‘Wasa Visa Nethi Ratak’ will be held on 6 to 8 March from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the BMICH.

In parallel to this program a conference to launch ‘Wasa Visa Nethi Ratak’ will be held under the patronage of the President with the participation of the members of the Agricultural Research Officers Association and over 5,000 farming leaders, on 7 March.

Ven. Athuraliye Rathan Thero, MP, Ministers Duminda Dissanayake, Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Mahinda Amraweera, S.B. Dissanayake, Commander of the Army, Commander of the Navy, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Additional Secretary to the President Rohana Dissanayake and high ranking officers of the Ministries participated at this event.
